This 171-foot-tall lighthouse is New Jersey's tallest, and it still uses its original First-Order Fresnel lens. The view from the top is so spectacular, you'll forget about the 228 steps it took to get there.

This huge ninety-ton National Historic Landmark was built in the early 1880's in hopes of attracting buyers to real estate mogul James Lafferty's choice beach property. Woodrow Wilson and Henry Ford were among the many visitors who came to see this remarkable elephant, and Lucy still draws 'em in today. Tour the interior and enjoy the view from atop her back. Disrepair forced her into retirement during the early 1960s, but she's back on the job thanks to ongoing renovations that began during the 1970s.

Charming glimpse of the 18th century through this lovingly restored village. What began as a restoration of the historic Smithville Inn led to the purchase of several Colonial homes and cottages, which were then converted into one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants. There are several special events throughout the year as well.
